Game Time: Opposites Attract
Object:
The object of this game is to be the first player to discard all of the cards from your hand.
Number of Players: 2 to 5 players
Supplies/ Equipment:
1 deck of cards
paper and pencil or marker and marker board to keep track of score
How to Play:
1. Remove all of the face cards (Kings, Queens, and Jacks) except the Aces. The dealer shuffles the cards and deals five cards to each player. The Aces represents the value of 1.
2. The remeaning cards are placed face down on the table. This is the draw pile. The dealer turns the top card over and places it face up next to the deck. This will become the discard pile.
3. The player to the left of the dealer begins the game. He or she draws a card from either the discard pile or draw pile.
4. If the player has two or three cards that form a set of opposites, he or she places them face up on the table as a set. The player must give an explanation of the reason the cards are considered opposites.
An example of a set could be a red 5 and a black 5.
