- identified common factors of a set of whole numbers.
- generated equivalent fractions.
- compared two fractions with common denominators.
In this unit of study, we are going to develop these skills further by:
- writing the prime factorization of a number.
- finding the greatest common factor (GFC) of a set of whole numbers.
- generating equivalent forms of numbers, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimal.
You will be able to use these skills to:
- determine the number of groups many objects and be evenly divided into.
- deteremine how many of each object goes into the group.
- create equivelant expressions using the distributive property.
