Supplies Needed
1 cup of math fact sticks
Note: There are different sets of math fact sticks. |
Playing the Game (for 2-6 Players)
- Each player takes a stick from the cup.
- Going around the group clockwise, each player shows his or her stick's math facts problems and answers it correctly. (If a player answers his or her math fact incorrectly, the other players gently correct him or her. That player is no longer able to win the round.)
- The player with the largest correct answer collects or wins everyone's sticks for that round.
- If two or more players tie for the largest number, a tiebreaker is needed. The players who are tied draw another stick, show the math fact, and answer it correctly. The player with the highest number collects or wins all sticks from that round including the tie breaking sticks.
- When there are no longer enough sticks in the cup for each player to draw one, the game ends.
- The players count their sticks. The player with the most sticks is the winner.
